Team Matrix is Strong Presence at This Year's Galway Downs International Horse Trials CIC3*

Temecula, California - This year's Galway Downs International Horse Trials CIC3* was a huge success and the Mushroom Matrix team was on hand to share in the fun. While Team Matrix members Hawley Bennett and Gina Miles were busy on the competition course, other Team Matrix members manned the Matrix booth.

"It was a fabulous event," said Matrix Vice President Keith Manfred who was on the scene throughout the event, held March 27-29 at the Southern California Equestrian Center. The competition drew top event riders and horses from throughout the Southwestern U.S., including Olympic veteran and Team Matrix member Gina Miles.

Also competing at Galway Downs this year was Team Matrix member Hawley Bennett, who collected ribbons in multiple levels of competition. In three-star competition, Bennett finished sixth with Gin and Juice. She took first in Open Training competition with Miracle Save and a third place in the Training Horse Division with Amstel. She also competed in the Training Horse Division with Siena, in Open Novice competition with Kaydence and in the Novice Horse Division with Ace of Diamonds, earning a fourth-place finish. Miles competed in the Novice Horse Division with Patronus.

Manfred gave much credit to Robert Kellerhouse, event organizer, for making the event such a success. "As always, Robert did a fantastic job. And I have to say, the hospitality shown to sponsors was wonderful." Adding to the joy of being on site, Manfred said, was the fun of watching competitors sail over the Matrix-sponsored fence and seeing Team Matrix members add to their ribbon collections. "We have a fabulous Team Matrix and it's always nice watching our Matrix riders and horses come out on top," he said.

Team Matrix includes many of the world's leading riders and trainers, not only from the world of eventing, but also from the sports of show jumping and dressage, who not only feed Matrix nutritional supplements to their horses, but take Matrix supplements themselves. Produced by Golden Gourmet Mushrooms of San Marcos, California, Matrix nutritional supplements are special blends of organically-grown medicinal mushroom varieties that provide superior nutritional support in formulas designed not only for horses, but also for humans and for dogs.

What has made the Matrix so popular among the world's top riders is that it provides multiple health benefits. Mushrooms contain L-Ergothioneine (ERGO), an antioxidant far more powerful than that found in other substances such as beta-carotene and vitamins C and E. Antioxidants are the body's defense system and aid in the prevention of the cellular damage that contributes to aging, injury, cancer and many other diseases. Rich in this vital antioxidant, Matrix supplements help promote healthy joints, reduce inflammation, boost the immune system, increase stamina and reduce stress and anxiety.
